All three little girls had their hearing tests today. Amanda had fluid on one ear, Kara on both, and Meghan, oh Meghan, she refused to let anyone put anything in her ears to check them. She threw her typical medical visit fit and refused to cooperate, she did the booth OK, but without the other tests, it is not a good picture of her having a hearing problem or not. She got so upset she threw her head back and smacked me in the mouth, I have a fat lip.
All three have to return, Meghan for a repeat try before we do a ABR, which I DO NOT want to do, but will if we have to. I do not understand this phobia Meghan has, she has really never had terrible medical issues and no one doctor as ever done anything to hurt her or upset her. It is a mystery to me, to us.
Amanda and Kara need to recover from their ear infections before their hearing is checked again. Amanda also need the wax cleaned out of her ears ago, it is prolific.

Poor mom with a fat lip. Do the Dr. wear white coats? Only asking cause when my daughter was little she associated the white coat or shirt with pain and would throw a fit. If the dr would put a different colored lab coat on or if he had a different colored shirt she was fine. Just a thought. Hope everyone feels better soon.

OH do I know that head flipping back and hitting you in the mouth thing.... hubby used to warn me so many times to keep my face away from Roberts head.... shockingly it never failed and I always had a fat lip.
We had trouble with Caelia not liking the headphones - until we had Michael walk around listening to his MP3 player with the big headphones on...then SHE wanted to listen and when we took her to the doctor that was the first thing she grabbed to put on - she was disappointed that it was not playing music but she finished the test.
I have a torn hip flexor from chasing Caelia as she made one of her dashes for freedom - she tries everything to be in control!
